Our audience feedback was very important and helpful as it helped us improve our music video and get opinions from our target audiences. We used a HD flip cam to record our classmate’s give their criticisms of our music video,
it was excellent to hear what our fellow classmates had to say about our music video and to hear what strengths and weaknesses we have.
Strengths:
- · Editing was good
- · Lip syncing was never out of point
- · Different shot types and styles
- · Strong Narrative, very conventional
Weaknesses:
- · White balancing problems, one scene would be lighter than the other
- · The representation of the girl could have been more conventional and stereotypical
We then posted our music video up on FaceBook, which is common Web 2.0 software for communication, that many people use.
We then used blackberry messenger to get some more feedback from our friends that have seen it. This was a quick and an efficient way to get our audience feedback from others.
From FaceBook and Blackberry messenger the feedback we got was that our editing was impressive and was professional, there was good lip-syncing coordination and overall the representation was good.
However, alongside our positive feedback we had some criticisms, which were that not enough emotion was shown in our music video, for example, love and lust between our 2 characters. We had a couple of random shots at times in our editing, which should be replaced with better shots.
